Behind the work
About Marjanne van den Dungen.
In September 1997, Marjanne began studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk, graduating with a special mention in 2003.
Having loved drawing since childhood, she also enrolled in the academy’s drawing programme. She graduated in 2017, then completed two further years of specialisation in portrait and life drawing in 2019.
After many years experimenting with different materials, she added an extra year at the academy in 2019–2020 to study colour theory and oil painting.
