Marga creates artworks by bringing different components together.

The fun begins with searching for all kinds of things. Often they are discarded, sometimes broken objects: the most interesting ones.

She examines, dismantles, prises apart, glues and builds until a new object takes shape.

Every object is unique and assembled with humour: a pleasure to have worked on before it ventures out into the world.

She has developed several series, including heads and eggs. Here, she presents the series ‘de Teskes’.

The Teskes begin as genuine, well-used handbags chosen for their shape. Marga prepares and transforms them into objects that can no longer be opened or carried, but can be viewed as artworks in a kind of frozen state.
