Willem Jansen

Willem is a 40-year-old artist with an independent spirit and a deep love of colour and expression. Painting and airbrushing form the foundation of my work, while I continually seek out new techniques and materials. Experimenting comes naturally to me: I enjoy trying things, discovering possibilities and being surprised by what emerges.

Nature is an important source of inspiration in my work. Its elements often reappear, always interpreted in my own way. I aim to put feeling and passion into every piece, encouraging people to keep discovering rather than simply looking. My art invites viewers to see something new each time.

More recently, I have also been working with recycled materials such as cans and discarded objects. What seems worthless to many becomes recognisable, playful artwork with a story of its own.

I have been making art for more than ten years, for a long time purely for myself. Over the past two years I have had the opportunity to exhibit and share my vision with a wider audience, something I do with great pride and pleasure.

You can recognise me by my personal style as well as my work: pink glasses and a curled moustache. I work under the artist name Collerart13.
